Mike Schmidt

Mike is the Deloitte Global Audit & Assurance (A&A) Chief Information Officer, where he oversees the technology direction and enablement of the Deloitte network’s A&A businesses. He is a member of the Deloitte Global A&A Management Committee and A&A Transformation and Change Executive, chairs the Deloitte Global A&A People Council and DevHub Steering Committee, and represents the Deloitte network’s A&A businesses on numerous business- and technology-related governance forums. When not working on behalf of Deloitte Global, Mike is a managing director in the A&A practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP and is a member of the Deloitte US Audit Innovation and Client Service Delivery leadership team.

Previously, Mike worked as a technology executive, leading major transformation initiatives across complex environments and multiple industries, including professional services, telecommunications, retail, and aerospace.

Mike received a BA in Government from St. John’s University and a PhD in Administration and Management (Technology Management/Management Information Systems) from Walden University. He honorably served in the US Army as a Counterintelligence Officer and works with Veteran affinity groups to help with the transition from military to civilian life. He is also the chair of the FloridaCIO Advisory Board, a member of the Tampa Bay Technology Council, and was awarded the 2022 Global CIO of the Year by FloridaCIO.
