Deloitte is committed to addressing the urgent climate crisis with achievable, measurable and science-based actions. In that spirit and with the determination to “drive climate action fast” Deloitte, with the guidance of the Climate Group, a non-profit organization that works with business and government leaders around the world to address climate change, has committed to all three core initiatives that support renewable electricity (RE100), electric vehicles adoption (EV100) and energy efficiency/productivity (EP100) within our organization globally. Deloitte is among only 12 other companies who have made this triple commitment.
Aligned with Deloitte’s existing pledge to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030 as part of our WorldClimate initiative, we are constantly evolving our business practices to meet new demands, develop innovative solutions, and foster an environment that leads by example, toward a low-carbon economy. Our commitments to the Climate Group’s initiatives, taken together, are an example of our efforts in action to hold ourselves accountable and drive responsible climate choices within our organization and beyond. But these targets aren’t theoretical, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated Deloitte’s greenhouse gas reduction goals in 2020 - goals that we developed in line with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C scenario. And we are working with other governmental and non-governmental actors to leverage our size and scale as part of the Race to Zero, building momentum for our peers to reach zero emissions by 2050.
We aim to achieve the goals established by the Climate Group’s RE100, EV100, and EP100 initiatives, through our WorldClimate strategy and our ongoing work with Deloitte’s clients, suppliers and other stakeholders, to accelerate our net-zero transition.
RE100 is a global initiative bringing together the world’s most influential businesses committed to 100% renewable power.
EV100 is a global initiative which brings together companies committed to making electric transport the new normal by 2030.
EP100 is a global initiative bringing together a growing group of energy-smart companies committed to doing more with less to improve their energy productivity. Deloitte has joined through the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment, by pledging that all of their buildings will operate at net zero carbon by 2030.
Taken together, these three initiatives serve as an ecosystem that support the power of collaboration, by encouraging collective action with clients, competitors, and suppliers alongside the advancement of Deloitte's own goals.
