NEW YORK, NY, USA, 13 December 2021—Deloitte was recently named a worldwide leader in the report entitled, IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Incident Readiness Services 2021 Vendor Assessment (doc #US46741420, November 2021). The IDC MarketScape recognition is based on Deloitte’s capabilities and strategies in incident readiness services.

In defining the market, the IDC MarketScape shares, “Incident readiness services help organizations prepare to act in the case of a security breach or attack by putting in place organized procedures to manage the effect of a breach in the event of a security incident. Incident readiness services include consulting, training, assessments, exercise and testing engagements, and other complementary services.”

“The rapid acceleration of digital transformation has increased the speed and breadth of cyber threats, making it increasingly difficult for organizations to prepare for and respond to cyber incidents, heightening the need for cyber strategies,” says Kevvie Fowler, Deloitte Global Cyber Incident Response Leader. “With organizations rethinking their cyber needs, Deloitte firms aim to provide an innovative portfolio of cyber incident readiness and management services that leverage leading experience, global scale, and innovation to help Deloitte clients anticipate, manage, and recover from incidents to succeed in the long term.”

On the vendor inclusion criteria, the report notes, “IDC studied 14 organizations that offer incident readiness services across the globe” that focused on specific services and criteria such as revenue, geographic presence, time frame, and current capabilities.

“Deloitte’s approach to improving organizational preparedness focuses on tailoring and combining our Cyber Incident Readiness services to meet client’s business objectives,” adds Fowler. “With human insights, technological innovation, and comprehensive cyber solutions, Deloitte will continue to innovate and differentiate our offerings that foster client success by notably investing more than US$800 million in cyber advancements to address evolving issues.”
